Vintage Schuco Elecktro Record 5555 Battery Operated Boat With Detachable Motor & Box

This German boat is in excellent condition. When we inserted batteries and turned the engine on, the motor came to life despite being left on a shelf for over 50 years.

The engine is turned on by moving the steering wheel to the right. All decals are present. The boat is about 11-3/4" in length.

The box is in good condition with a considerable tear on the end flap. The graphics on the box does illustrate the insertion of the batteries and the engine start and stop directions.

We believe this vessel was made around 1962, with Schuco only producing this great toy from 1960-1966.
