This lacquered music box measures 3"x 5" x 2-3/4" and is in excellent condition.

The music box plays a lullaby when wound. A great image of the Stork Club mascot is featured on the lid.  Inside the lid is a large mirror, and there is a 2" wide storage compartment for rings, earrings, money, etc. in the inside of the box.

The Stork Club was a famous Manhattan nightclub that operated from 1929 to 1965. The club was established by a famous bootlegger named Sherman Billingsley. Famous people like Walter Winchell, Ernest Hemingway, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, the Kennedy's, the Roosevelt's and most theatre stars could be seen eating, drinking, or partying at this famous club.
