1890's Wood & Leather Collar Box

This 6" tall, 8" wide, and 7" in-depth hardwood antique box is lined in green silk with an engraved silver clasped compartment on the top.

The fancy metal latch on the box works. The wood and interior of the box are in excellent condition. The brown leather engraved covering on the outside of the box has substantial cracking and material loss near the opening hinge section of the box.

This item makes a great storage box for knick-knacks like pens, desk supplies, eyeglasses or money.
