1894 Parker Bros. Darktown Fancy Ball 20 Piece Picture Puzzle and Wonderful Box

This very rare and almost mint condition colorful illustrated box and assembled colorful puzzle had been protected with plastic wrap.

The colors and artwork of this piece is amazing. The ball costumes and hats are worthy of careful study, as are the unusual portrayals of the faces of each illustrated character.

In our opinion, this rare and pristine piece is one of the great pieces to obtain an understanding about the importance of collecting the rapidly diminishing universe of items designated as Black Americana.

The box measures about 9-1/2" x 7-1/2" and the completed puzzle mounted on the cardboard measures 11-1/4" x 8-1/2". Both the box and puzzle remain wrapped in plastic.
