- Description
This rare white dog version of the classic H.L. Judd Cast Iron Mechanical Bank from 1895 is in excellent condition. The crank and turntable assembly are perfect and there is no wear, rust, or scratching on the bank. Place a coin on the tray in the dog's mouth, turn the side crank to the turntable and the dog enters the building to deposit the coin.
In addition, there is a larger coin slot on the roof of the building for quarters, 50 cent or silver dollar coins. The original coin trap is present but the key is missing. The bank measures approximately 3 ½” in width, 5” in depth, and 5 ½” to the top of the chimney.
The white paint on the cast iron dog does have some fading but the features of the dog are very clear. The buyer of this great item will have no regrets.
