This 10 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 3" antique display box features 34 unopened boxes of Bunte Menthol Horehound cough drop boxes (one side red, other side black) made by Bunte Brothers, located in Chicago.

The ingredients of the drops are sugar, honey, horehound tea, brown sugar, menthol and corn syrup. Each box retailed for 5¢.

Included in the box is a rare note to retailer that reads "If cough drops should grain and assume a creamy color this does not in the least affect their efficiency. We kindly ask the dealer to explain this to anyone objecting to purchasing them for the above reason."

The display box is in very good condition with little fading or discoloration, but there is a corner that has been taped, and the bottom edges of the display box lid does have normal wear and some creasing.
