1929 Dennis Stovall First Children's Book "Indians Wild & Cruel" & 1949 Coloring Book "Indians Of The Plains"

Both books serve to document the wrong impression that American youth in the 1920's to 1950's received from film regarding the American Indian.

The stories and wrongful stereotyping presented in these books were perpetuated by the Cowboy and Indian movies and television shows that appeared during this era.
