1930’s / Early 1940’s The 3 Musketeers Candy Bar Box (3 bars for 5 cents)

This box is a rare find and in very good condition.  Mars Confection Company changed the 3 Musketeers Candy Bars from having three pieces in each package consisting of chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla to one flavor, chocolate nougat (the most popular flavor of the three) because of wartime sugar rationing in early 1942. 

The box is a box within a box where the inside box has very similar side panels as the outside box but the bottom panel of the outside box reveals a great picture of the huge Mars Confections mixing machines.  The top panel of the box shows the outside of the Mars Confection factory.
