This wonderful 9 ¾” tall elephant in a red button jacket with fabric ribbon is known as one of the best celluloids ever made. One hand holds a bell and the second hand is supposed to hold a little sign that reads “Welcome, See the Circus.” This little sign is missing and the price of this toy has been adjusted accordingly.

When the toy is wound, the elephant moves his large head with trunk and tusks from side to side and his bell ringing hand moves up and down to ring the bell and his sign hand moves sideways in a back-and-forth motion. This toy was made in Japan by the Kuramochi company.

This winding mechanism worked very well when tested and the celluloid is in very good condition with all colors showing as intended. This working toy is a great addition to any collection.
