- Description
This highly collectable 10-1/2" long motorized truck with search light and headlamps is one of the finest WWII military toys that were made during the war.
The German-made heavy metal open truck has the original two soldiers (one driving, the other reading a map). The large mounted search light turns and elevates with a wheel and has a large glass lens to focus the bulbs' glow. The vehicle has six motorized wheels with two extra spares on the side. Two winches are showing on the back of the vehicle.
There remains one major problem with this great truck. When we inserted new "C" batteries into the screw-in battery compartment harness, we could not get the toy to work.
The battery compartment wiring, motor, and on/off switches in the back of the driver's seat all appear to be in very good condition. Accordingly, the buyer should have toy electrical repair experience or want to own this rare WWII item as is for the price being offered.
This item will make any collection more interesting. The price of this item reflects a substantial discount due to the wiring issue. The appearance of the paint, metal, figures, tires, search light, and windshield remains in excellent condition.
