1930's Candlestick Play Telephone

This well-built toy metal phone stands about 7-3/8" tall. The original plastic-like disc mounted under the speaking tube reads "Playphone 600, Manufactured by the Gong Bell Mfg. Com.-East Hampton, Conn."

A bell rings when you pick up the receiver and press down on the receiver holder. There is some oxidation on the metal of the phone, but overall the phone remains in very good condition.

The original heavy cloth phone cord is still present. I doubt if many children would have a phone like this in their playhouse.
