This antique German made cart driven by a daredevil driver who moves up and down as the wheels turn is being pulled by a zebra.

The 7-1/4" long rare tin shows substantial oxidation on the rear of the cart and some oxidation on the zebra. The zebra still looks good and the ears, string tail and painted stripes displays well with the tin-litho driver wearing his hat.

We tested the winding mechanism with the original Lehmann key and did find that the winder worked but at times the mechanism needed assistance by manually turning one of the spoked wheels. It appears that the main spring could use a replacement.

The original Lehmann marked gold and black cart wheels are somewhat unique in appearance. The piece is in good condition and due to the flaws mentioned, we applied a discount of 30% believing that a very good condition rare tin like this would be worth at least $275.
