This very good condition 16" tall blender was manufactured by Knapp Monarch Company of St. Louis, Mo.

The Southern Comfort lithographed scene on the base features a black houseman serving a bearded plantation owner a drink while overlooking a scenic river valley with a steamboat displayed in the background.

The caption "The grand old drink of the South" appears on each side of the blender base. The glass and metal mixing container remains in very good condition, as does the on/off switch and name plate.

When tested, the motor worked well, but the blades did not turn. We believe the blade assembly has become stuck due to age and lack of use. Hopefully, the blades can be removed, oiled, and reassembled if actual use is sought.

There are not many liquidizers as nice as this one if you are a Southern Comfort fan.
