1938 Jack Armstrong Magic Answer Box With Original Mailing Box (A Wheaties Cereal Premium)

The red metal toy is in excellent shape with all the original instructions, printing, and answer gauge showing.  The small film inside the mechanism that touches the answer needle is loose and needs to be glued for the device to work properly.  However, the movement of the answer needle is based on the pressure from your finger and proper use requires you to touch a predetermined black square. 

The mailing box was delivered to someone in Antigo, Wisconsin, and the Jack Armstrong return address and radio personality picture is clearly shown on the box.  This toy came out about a decade earlier than the popular Black Magic 8 Ball that many people sought to determine if the time was right to break the Magic 8 Ball to discover how the toy worked.
