1938 Louis Marx Litho Tin Wind-Up - Dopey

This classic Louis Marx Disney toy has substantial paint wear and rust near the right cheek and the right eye.  Dopey was the only tin character toy made as a result of the Snow White film.  Dopey’s tin litho hat no longer has the word Dopey on it.  Last but not least, the wind-up mechanism did work well when tested and Dopey’s eyes move up and down and his feet vibrate to cause Dopey to dance around. 

The Marx logo is very clear.  If you don’t want to spend over $300 for an excellent conditioned tin Dopey consider buying this one since the mechanical mechanism works and the pedigree of this tin can justify the wear that this good condition toy has undergone over the last 85 years.
