This Pinocchio is telling the truth. There is one leg missing from the Pinocchio and it appears that the winding spring has sprung and needs replacement. Therefore, the toy is priced as non-working. The tin litho is in good condition with a few scratches or wear marks. The Louis Marx logo and the 1939 Walt Disney Production logo are very clear.
When properly working, the “Monstro the Whale” base will rock back and forth to cause Pinocchio to sway and perform an acrobatic routine. The tin litho characters on this toy are well-known among collectors.
