1940’s Marx Tin Litho Wind-Up Balky Donkey Cart

This 8 ¾” long tin litho is in very good condition. The wind-up worked well when tested but the main spring seems a little loose. There is almost no wear on the tin donkey, cart and some normal wear to the driver near the hat, spine, and neck.

The original reins are present. When wound, the wheels propel the cart forward and backward, The tin rider stays stationary and the toy was designed to move the rider up and down as the wheels turn. This rider movement feature does not appear to be working properly.
