- Description
Many Americans can remember going to the lunch counter at a Woolworth's or local drug store, ordering a Coke, and having your waiter or waitress reach for your straw in a Coke box next to the beverage dispenser.
This hard-to-find straw box is about 3/4 full of narrow wax-coated 8-1/2" long Coke logo'd straws. The top flap of the box has been removed to expedite the dispensing of straws, and the box is far from pristine, but the colors and images of the famous Coke bottle are good, and the slogan written on the green background, "For the pause that refreshes" prevents us from forgetting about the past.
There is some clear tape on the box to patch and support the cardboard box where tears have occurred. The straws have yellowed with age.
