1940's Hubley Cast Iron Harley Davidson Patrol Motorcycle

This 8-1/2" long heavy cast iron cycle was manufactured to accompany the pipe-smoking Popeye cast iron figure when out on patrol.

Popeye probably rode this bike in the early years and, sometime, despite Hubley's likely wishes to mediate the separation, the motorcycle and Popeye each went their own way. The motorcycle is in its original painted condition, and all metal parts are in very good condition, but the paint could use a refresh.

The original paint colors are present, so it is not difficult to repaint this motorcycle to achieve its original glory. The cast iron wheels turn well, and when you look closely, you can see the Hubley name on the edge of each tire.
