The Pluto Soap was part of Disney's efforts in the 1940s to capitalize on the popularity of its beloved animated characters by branching into merchandise. Pluto, Mickey Mouse's loyal and mischievous pet dog, was a fan-favorite character introduced in the early 1930s. By the 1940s, Pluto had become one of Disney’s iconic characters, often featured in animated shorts.
The box is in fair shape with tearing along the top roof seam and the top flap of the dog house entrance in also torn.
