Any handy person could probably replace the easy-to-reach side wind-up spring mechanism. When you turn the key in the opposite direction of winding, the Ferris wheel moves easily and freely around so the gears appear to be working fine.

Once fixed, you look at a 300% or more gain in value because the 16 ½” tall tin is in very good shape including the six cats, busy graphics, and base.

If you do not want to fix the wind-up, the piece still shows well on any shelf because Chein did not skimp on the many graphic illustrations painted on every inch of this tin.
