1950's Berwin Gold Tin-Litho Children's Typewriter with Box

This excellent-condition children's metal typewriter is a great reminder of life before computers, when children had to learn to type, spell, punctuate, and write a sentence or two.

When a child mastered this device, they would move on to the study of using carbon paper because copiers were very rare, using white-out or typewriter erasers. After all, self-correction wasn't invented yet and learning how to replace a typewriter ribbon without getting ink on their clothing.

The 11-1/2" long original box is also in excellent condition.
