This 10" tall Louis Armstrong figure is in very good condition.
His bright jacket, bow tie, pants, and shoes show well. His hand and face are made of vinyl, the trumpet is plastic, with his hat and legs consisting of tin.
Satchmo plays his trumpet when the toy is wound as he moves back and forth on his right leg, while he moves his hands and head as he flips his metal hat. The winding mechanism worked when tested, but if the tension is too tight, some manual movement of his arm is required to get the mechanical action started again.
There was only one Louis Armstrong, and this great toy reveals why he was so entertaining.
