1960’s Japanese Battery Operate Champion Monkey Weightlifter With Box (Not Working)

This vintage toy made by Yanoman Company in Japan appears to be in very good condition with a clean battery compartment, nice original clothing, a battery cover and a non-damaged monkey face on fake fur. Unfortunately, when we tested the toy, we could not get the toy to turn on. Accordingly, we have priced this toy at a fraction of its value with the hopes that some purchaser could save this weightlifter from leaving the gym. 

When working, the action on this toy is fun to watch as the monkey raises and lowers the weights to warm up and then lifts the weights over his head causing his head to light up and make some monkey noises as if declaring victory before starting all over. The box is in good shape with no major tears but normal wear.
