1960's Kuamochi & Co Japan Battery Operated Dancing Merry Chimp (Not-Working)

This 12" tall plush chimp with plastic ears, eyes, hands, and feet sits on a tin litho tree stump located in a garden.

The toy has four colored switches that are supposed to control the various movement actions of the chimpanzee. The toy itself, including the fur, clothing, and plastic appendages, remains in excellent condition with very little wear or damage.

The battery compartment that holds the 2 -"D" batteries is also very clean. Despite such condition, we still could not get the toy to work when we inserted new batteries and switched the toy on. We hope a skilled buyer can determine what needs to be fixed with the wiring, and if not, this toy is still worthy of space on any shelf for the price listed.
