- Description
Nothing is more aggravating than having a good condition old battery-operated toy with a clean battery compartment that does not want to turn on. The Japanese must have been very aggravated in the 1960's and 1970's because a "No-Worky" Japanese toy from that period is almost the norm.
This detailed tin-litho toy, if working, would be moving around the floor while bumping, grinding, and reversing. Lights would appear in the capsule controller and nose cone, and the astronaut would pop up to take a picture as the doors open while some type of noise was emitted.
In the current non-working condition, the space capsule displays well, and the price of this item is less than 1/3 of what a working capsule would sell for. We are hoping that a would-be rocket scientist can try to get this Japanese tin working.
If not, this 9" interesting looking 9" long hunk of tin should still be on a collector's shelf with the on/off switch turned on.
