The Tappan Appliance Company was founded in 1881 in Ohio. During the 1930's to 1950's, Tappan stoves and ovens were considered a high end appliance that was featured in many luxury homes.
In 1978, Tappan was sold to Electrolux and the Tappan name virtually disappeared. Tappan's Little Chef icon was featured in all the Tappan commercials and advertising for the brand.
Each of the composite plaster-like hand painted wall displays have an original Tappan stamp on the side. The two displays has one flat side for hanging on a wall.
