The American Can Century of Progress Bank was made for the 1934 Chicago World's Fair. The colorful graphics portray a modern city with tall buildings, blimps, airplanes, and a skytram. The 2" diameter and 3-1/2" tall can bank is in very good condition.

The National Canners Association (Washington D.C.) can bank features the words "Canny Cook Thrift Bank" with images of robot-like workers preparing food and beverages. The top of the can, where the coin slot is located, reads "Bank on purity, wholesomeness, economy of caned foods." The 2-5/8" diameter and 4" tall can is in very good condition, and the bottom of the can is stamped "National Canners Association."

The other American Can company bank included with this lot has a bright shiny gold background that features lithograph graphics of Harlequin elves, vegetables, fruit, and dogs.

We believe this can was probably made in the 1920's or early 1930's. The top of the can reads "Bank on purity, wholesomeness, economy of canned foods." The sides of the can display slogans "If canned it's fresh rich in vitamins" and the word "National Canners Ass'N canned food week" is also present. The 2-5/8" diameter and 4" tall can is in good condition and the bottom of the can is stamped "National Canners Association."
