Walter Lantz directed animated films for Universal Studios from 1927-1972.

In 1940, he introduced Woody Woodpecker to the world. The three colored cells were used in production and feature two Woody's and a rare friend of Woody's known as Max the Polar Bear.

The four different pencil drawings features images of Woody. There are three certificates of authenticity issued by MCA/Universal Animation Art for three of the four pencil drawings.

All of the colored cells and drawings are stamped and are all authentic. This is a rare opportunity to own a meaningful set of cartoon history that relates to the red-headed troublemaker named Woody.
