The three Buck Jones pins featuring the Rangers Club are highly collectible.
After WWI, Buck Jones (real name Charles Frederick Gebhart) moved to California and started in show business as a stuntman for $5 per day at Universal Pictures. In 1925, he made three films with a young Carole Lombard, and his film career took off.
During his career, he made more than 160 films and was among the top film cowboys in a peer group that included Hoot Gibson, Tom Mix, and Ken Maynard.
The rare Ken Maynard Cole Bros. Circus Pin with green ribbon and his dangling horse named Tarzan is in very good condition with some rust and oxidation on the back of the pin.
Maynard was known for his stunts in the movies from 1923 to the mid-1930's when he dropped out of acting and performed in rodeos across the nation. Maynard was the first singing cowboy in western films.
