Antique Black African Man Hand Puppet- Carved Wood Head With Original Clothing

This 18" tall hand puppet is very old. The carved face reveals the original paint.

Tiny nails were used to accent the decorative ears. The silk, linen, and burlap clothing has substantial wear and thread loss, but the black linen cloth that covers the operator's moving hand remains in good condition.

This is a great old piece to own, and it is doubtful that another piece of this quality and uniqueness could be easily found.
