Antique Wind-Up Celluloid Crawling Black Baby Doll

This crawling baby from Japan features black celluloid and the pigtails still have the original ribbons. When tested, we had a hard time getting the winding mechanism to work on its own and therefore we do not feel that the winding mechanism should be counted as working. 

We believe the toy was made in the mid-1930’s and the condition of the clothing, celluloid body and head are in very good condition after 90 years. The face coloring is in excellent condition. This toy has been greatly discounted due to the winding mechanism problem.
