The early 1900's comic strip character Happy Hooligan is represented well by this 6" tall figurine with swinging arms.

It is likely that this piece was made between 1910-1920 in Germany. The chalk plaster, original paint and paper candy container at the base remains in very good to excellent condition.

The candy container is quite small but would easily hold a few jelly beans or red hots. This is a rare piece that may not surface again. Happy's hand-painted face with his whiskers below the nose is priceless.
