Antique Large Curved Glass Countertop Display Case

This wood-framed curved glass display case measures 20-1/2" in depth and width and is 12" tall. The case looks like it may have been manufactured by Excelsior Show Case Works, but the maker of the piece is not as important as the functionality of the piece.

The oak wood frame and foundation support the curved glass to allow all items displayed to be viewed without distortion. There is an inward-facing mirror on the back-hinged door of the display that enables the viewer to see both the front and back of any item in the case. The back wood door is hinged with a slide-up locking mechanism. 

The rear mirror is in very good condition, as the curved glass is in excellent condition.  The wood is in good condition, in need of some minor repair to remove some gouges on the bottom of the wood foundation, and there is a need to add a small piece of additional wood stripping on the top of the curved glass seam that shows some adhesive. 

The black felt on the bottom of the case needs cleaning or replacement. The old 1890's to 1920's curved glass displays are becoming hard to find.

A buyer who would like to freshen up the wood with some polish, wood filler and stain refresh will smile when they look at any collectible displayed in this case.
