This is a very unusual toy due to its winding mechanism. The tin dancer wears a red and yellow patterned suit. Due to the age of the toy, the red and yellow paint has substantial fading. The toy is wound by holding the dancer's body and turning the round blue pedestal base. When wound, the dancer will do a jig.

The toy measures 7 ¾” in height and was made in the USA according to a stamp at the bottom of the suit back. When tested, the wind-up and dancing mechanism worked well. We have not determined the age of this toy but believe it to be before 1930. This tin is most unusual.
