This classic wooden donkey is in good condition. The movable legs are very secure and work well.
The corded mane is intact, and the original leather ears are present. The short tail is missing, but it is very easy to substitute with a piece of corded string. The painted eyes look good.
The original paint has some bare spots along the body as a result of normal wear and age. We believe this donkey is one of the earlier ones made by Schoenhut Piano Company in the early 1920's. This is a great vintage animal to have in any collection.
