Antique Schoenhut Wood Jointed Humpty Dumpty Elephant

This 11" long and 5-1/2" tall wood elephant was likely made around 1910. The piece is in very good condition with some of the original grey paint is missing on the legs, trunk, and head.

The original leather ears and rope tail are present, as are the original painted eyes. The prominent tusks show well. There is some crackling on the back of the animal that is normal for a toy of this age. The swivel on the head works fine, and the attachment and movement of the jointed legs are excellent.

This great pachyderm is worthy of displaying on a shelf.
