Antique Schuco German Wind-Up Donkey

This German tin wind-up is covered with grey fur paper mâché. We believe the toy was manufactured before 1940.

When wound, the donkey's tail moves in a circle and the ears move up and down. The wind-up mechanism worked very well when tested. The donkey has 1/2 of its rear leg missing but the toy does stand on its three legs.

The fur has some discoloration near the animal's hindquarters. The red harness and long black mane are in very good condition.

Overall, this rare working donkey is priced right and should be in any person's toy animal collection.
