Antique Small Gold & Silver Coin Carriage Box With Brass Handle

This very old 5-3/4" high, 4" deep and 5" wide carriage box contains two pull-out drawers, one marked "Gold" and the other "Silver".

The condition of the box is good, with the front door panel hinge binding separating and repaired with black tape. The wood drawers with leather pulls are in very good condition.

The box displays well when opened with an interior view of the two drawers. The thin leather-like black covering of the wood box has scuffing and wear, but such a condition is expected because of the thin veneer.

The box could be repainted or recovered with new fabric if a buyer so desired. These boxes are rare.
