This 8-1/2" long heavy metal mechanical bank is a replica of the bank manufactured by Shepard Hardware in 1890.
This working bank is in excellent condition. Place a coin on the harpoon, press the lever located on the harpoon end, and the coin is deposited by the boatman into the whale's mouth.
This decent bank replica was probably manufactured in Taiwan in the 1960's.
