1897 J. & E. Stevens Mechanical Bank- Pig In High Chair

This beautiful nickel finish bank is in marvelous condition.  The metal has some age wear with minor tarnishing and discoloration that one would expect from a metal plate that is over 125 years old. 

The coin mechanism works well.  When pressed, the coin enters the pig's mouth as the animal's tongue rises.  The coin trap cover is missing.  This is a highly collectible rare bank and because of the way the bank was designed, we would expect the bank to still be working in 2124.
