These playing cards were produced around 1900. The back of each card displays the great image of Lakota Sioux leader Sitting Bull. In 1876, Sitting Bull and his warriors defeated the 7th Cavalry led by Lt. Col. George Armstrong Custer.

The box does have some tearing and is taped along one flap but the printing on the box remains legible as does the copyright information relating to the I.S. Playing Card Company.

It appears these playing cards were used and played with often. Most of the gold edges on the cards have worn, but there are not many creases or bends on the cards. The Indian portrait of Sitting Bull on each card is what this rare collectible so special.
