The English Company John Harper manufactured this 8” tall mechanical bank between 1905 to 1910. The banks came with both no hat and the top hat. The bank is in good working order as tested. Place a coin in the hand, push the lever in the back down and the arm moves the coin into the mouth while the dark eyes roll up and down.

All iron on this bank is in good shape but the bank does need a good repaint. There is very little rust or oxidation on the bank but the paint is very tired on the lips, hat, and red shirt. The bank has been priced accordingly for the paint issue but this is a great bank to spend some effort to get this highly collectible item into condition for the next 120 years. The black paint on the back and bottom of the bank is in very good shape.
