- Description
This great German tin was patented in 1907. The piece features a clown riding on an ornate cart pulled by a mule. When wounded, the cart moves forwards and backwards.
When tested, the winding mechanism worked very well. The ornate tin litho wheels featuring colorful acrobats are in very good condition with some wear on the edges from use.
The clown has all his original clothing, and his painted face displays well. The grey mule is also in very good condition with its swinging legs, long ears, and string tail all present. The narrow string reins need to be reattached to the clown's hands.
This piece is approximately 7" in length and the back of the cart displays a colorful clown along with the designated patent and trademarks.
