- Description
This futuristic-looking projector almost looks like a locomotive and is made of black-painted tin with a wooden base.
The machine would use a light bulb placed inside the box to project the film through the lenses while you advanced the film using a hand crank. Many Disney scroll films are still available for purchase on eBay (about $10 each) that would fit this projector.
The projector measures 10" in length, 6" in width and about 4-5/8" in height. We are not comfortable in assuming that this projector will work, but overall, all the parts are present, including the lenses, film scroll spools, and light housing.
We noticed the on/off switch on the side of the unit, where the light bulb is inserted, needs to be replaced along with the wiring for the light. The important yellow and red Mickey Mouse decal and Movie Jecktor name display well.
Some of the fastening tabs holding the metal pieces together could be improved, and the very small nails holding the bottom wood to the metal frame could be shored up.
The piece, as is, does display well on a shelf.
