Early 1940's Baldwin Manufacturing Coast Defense Gun #850 with Box

This 12" long cannon gun mounted on a metal frame is in very good condition.

The set includes eight wooden shells and a detachable metal magazine feeder and box. The original box shows signs of wear from use but remains in good condition.

The cannon is fired by a hand crank attached to a circular firing cylinder. We cranked the cylinder, and the firing mechanism appeared to be working properly.

This item is a great reminder of the fear most American citizens felt in defending their homeland's shores during wartime.
