The xylophone player features a formally dressed male musician with swinging hips made of celluloid. When working, the player plays the tin keys attached to the base with his mallets that are attached to his hands with wire.

The celluloid is in good condition but when tested, it appears that the winding mechanism needs replacement. In addition, the number 1(there are 5 present) metal xylophone key is missing. The original box is included. These Japanese celluloids are highly collectible and whether the winder is working or not, the toy does justify some space on a shelf given the price.
