Wolverine Supply & Manufacturing Company of Pittsburg, PA made this 13" long model No. S-87 submarine after WWII.
The winding key resides in the conning tower. The propellers worked well when wound. The original ballast cork is present on the stern, as is the metal machine gun on the bow. There is some minor scratching on the green and red paint, but there is very little paint loss, and only some minor oxidation is present in a few small areas.
We would rate this submarine as being in very good condition. This classic working sub belongs in any collector's Navy.
