- Description
This classic Marx 12" tall smiling Indian warrior with his tongue showing while beating a tin-litho war drum is worthy of some space on a high shelf so others can enjoy the comical "F Troop" like image that Louis Marx wanted to create.
The Indian and tin is in very good condition but the drum is missing its imitation hide drum head. As with so many Japanese toys from the 1950's-1960's, inserting new batteries into this fun Indian did not get this toy to turn on so there was no drum beat, tongue movement, body movement or war whoop heard.
The original box is in fair condition with splits or separations on each flap but all illustrated flaps are present and easy to see. The plain bottom of the box has many small holes punched in it.
