- Description
This delicate mask is very unique. The character appears to be an Indian and the coloring on the paper mâché remains vibrant and clear. Substantial hair is missing but the black painter's head adds special scary optics to the character because of the hair loss. The mask has a meaningful break along both sides of the jawline so the lower lip is fairly loose. There is also a large crack on the lower part of the left nostril that can be easily glued or filled. Despite these flaws, the mask should creep out any viewer even if they are related to Jeffrey Dahmer.
The fragility of these handmade Mardi Gras masks is normal and supports the reasons why so few of these vintage disguises survive today. This mask has been priced at less than 25% of what we have seen similar masks sell for after some repairs were made.
